Macro

Good morning all.

One of the things which has always fascinated me is Macro photography, some of the resulting photographs are truly amazing. I recently added an App to my phone which had a macro setting and have enjoyed using it around the garden...but I really wanted to try the macro setting on my camera, so last week I did!

Promises, Promises!

Good morning all.

A Year with my Camera promised to get me off auto in six weeks...a bold claim to someone who had no clue about the workings of a camera! At three-four weeks in I still didn't think it was possible...but here I am at six weeks and my camera has been on manual most of the week!!
I even have some photos to show for it too:)

Chasing the Aurora

Good morning all.

I had my first taste of Aurora chasing last night with eldest...the skies were reasonably clear so off we set about 10.30pm to the local lighthouse. It was quite a mild night though quite breezy on the headland...note to self - buy a woolly hat!

Capturing the Northern Lights
